Spectrum of Light Co, is a national disability advocacy‑inclusion nonprofit founded in 2022 and incorporated as a 501(c)(3) organization in 2026. We are dedicated to changing the culture by advancing accessibility, awareness, and equity for students with disabilities. Through enlightening, advocacy and community engagement, we empower youth to promote inclusion and build environments where every student feels valued, supported, and able to thrive.
Our mission is to empower students to lead cultural change through enlightening, advocacy, and inclusive practices. We teach youth the importance of equality and equity for all people with disabilities and work to build school communities where every student feels valued and able to belong.
Our vision Our mission is to build school communities where all students—whether they have disabilities or not—can belong without feeling pressured to mask who they are. We aim to change the culture by fostering acceptance, understanding, and acknowledgment of students living with disabilities. Most importantly, we believe every student has the right to be themselves without shame, judgment, or the need to hide any part of their identity.
Our story began in 2022 as a high school club in Lexington, Kentucky. What started as a small student initiative grew into a national movement, leading to our incorporation as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2026. Today, Spectrum of Light supports youth across the country through structured programs and chapter development.
Our programs include Spectrum of Light College Chapters and Club Sol, our high school division. Both branches provide curriculum, leadership training, and community‑building opportunities that help students advocate for disability inclusion in their schools.
Our approach centers on promoting awareness, advocacy, leadership development, and community engagement. We believe students have the power to change culture and create lasting impact.
Our values are inclusion, accessibility, equity, leadership, and community.
Who we serve Spectrum of Light welcomes students with disabilities, allies, peer leaders, educators, and school communities. Inclusion is for everyone.
